From trackballs and cockpit controllers, to blacked-out keyboards and Kid Robot speakers, we’ve seen a lot of unique computer peripherals over the years. Microsoft’s Natural Ergonomic Keyboard is always the first thing we think of when we think about a complete redesign in favor of ergonomics, but the new Logitech MX Vertical Advanced Ergonomic Mouse might just steal that crown. The first thing you’ll notice about this mouse is that it looks incredibly weird because of the swirl grip and the buttons on the side. This is intentional. After a bunch of studies, Logitech determined that the a 57-degree vertical angle is the optimal setup for ergonomic posture and performance. The company also learned it can lead to 10% less muscle strain, reduced wrist pressure and 4x less hand movement. It has all the high-precision sensors, precise tracking, rechargeable battery and multi-computer connection options you’ve come to expect in a mouse, you just use it in a more natural, comfortable position. Honestly, it’s a wonder they didn’t make this mouse years ago.
