We always knew that science-fiction movie technology would become a reality in one way or another. Despite the fact we’re in 2019 and we don’t have all the tech from Blade Runner, we are pleased to report that there’s another exoskeleton coming up that will help make all your Aliens fantasies come true. Well, kind of. What you see here is the latest update to the LG CLOi SuitBot Exoskeleton that’s set to debut at CES 2019 next week alongside updated versions of their PorterBot, ServeBot and CartBot. The CLOi SuitBot is a lower body exoskeleton designed to support and augment user muscles while simultaneously reducing stress, injury and fatigue when lifting and bending with heavy loads. According to LG, “SuitBot increases the user’s flexibility by enabling 50-degree extension and 90-degree flexion of the waist and activates when the wearer bends at a 65-degree angle, disengaging when standing in an upright position.” All they need to do now is build the upper body half, add some claws and a roll cage, and then paint it bright yellow.
