LG has always been one of the biggest innovators when it comes to modern display technology. But their upcoming 2022 Lifestyle TVs are taking things to an entirely new level. The first is the Object TV, an appropriately-sized (by today’s standards) 65″ OLED option that wouldn’t look out of place is a modern art gallery thanks to the retractable Kvadrat fabric covering, enclosed frame system (including sound system), and the ability to work properly just leaned up against the wall. What’s more, that fabric screen is available in three different colors and the TV is designed to work with “various lifestyle” content depending on how much of the TV is covered with the fabric screen. The other unique option is the StanbyME, a 27″ Smart TV on top of a pedestal stand with concealed wheels and a 3-hour built-in battery so you can wheel it with you to whatever room you want to watch TV in. It’s not a replacement for your entertainment center obviously, but we could see it being occasionally useful in rooms you don’t need permanent TVs in like the kitchen, workout room, or even the home office. At this time, pricing and availability haven’t been revealed, but we expect that to be part of the official LG 2022 Lifestyle TV unveiling at CES 2022 in January.
