We’re all for Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and all the other apps you use to share your photos–along with the ones you use to edit your sweet shots–but if we’re being honest, nothing will ever take the place of film. We could run through all the reasons you should shoot film, but at the end of the day, the biggest talking point is that properly framed and shot film photos just look better. Last year, Fujifilm axed their black-and-white film because it seemed like no one wanted it. They were wrong, and the “millennials and GenZs” let them know. Fujifilm has now decided to release a new monochromatic film, Neopan 100 Acros II, in both 35mm and 120 formats with Super Fine-Σ technology later this year. Fujifilm Neopan 100 Across II will launch in Japan in the fall with launches in other markets to follow based on demand. Here’s hoping it ends up Stateside because we’d love to put it in some of our favorite film cameras.
