If you thought the only thing you could fit into a 2″ x 1″ x 1″ space was a pack of gum, R&D Core is here to prove you wrong with their new concept DRAS Phone. The phone uses Digital Resistive Area Sensing technology to overcome the limitations of the modern capacitive touchscreen you’ll find in almost all modern smartphones. This allows the full-size phone to fold into both a mini and mode while still keeping some amount of the screen visible for notifications in each of the modes. And now we have to get into the concept aspect of the phone because we don’t know anything about: the operating system, battery life, charging capabilities, color options and, most importantly, whether or not it will ever be produced. We highly doubt this thing will ever see the light of day, but we’d happily shell out some cash for it if it did.
